Cleveland area. They look to be in nice shape--he's asking $1999 OBO--which tells me there may be some flexibility in price. I've never heard a pair of these but would love to. Did 17's come with tangerines/lite diaphragms/h.f. compensation in the crossovers similar to their "brothers" (the 19's, 15's, and 14's)?

Early 604-8G's had the 23744 "lite" phragms, and the last few hundred, or few thousand? had tangerines, but with 34647 phragms. AFAIK, none had both.
The stock 604-8G crossover is the weak link in the system IMO, no comp/eq.
Early model 17's have the older style rectangular "Altec" logo on the grills, not sure exactly what year they went to the round "Altec Lansing" logo.
Not all vegetables make good leaders.
